Northwestern Hosts Annual Howard County Track and Field Meet

Northwestern High School hosted the annual Howard County Track and Field Meet, with Western, Eastern, and Taylor also competing.

Boys Meet
Northwestern edged Western to win the boys’ title, led by Declan Aaron, who won the 100 meters (11.27), 200 meters (22.72), and ran on the winning 4x100 relay team (44.91). The Tigers swept all three relays.

Boys Team Scores:

  • Northwestern – 93

  • Western – 89

  • Eastern – 43

  • Taylor – 19

Girls Meet
Western dominated the girls’ meet, finishing 67 points ahead of second-place Northwestern. Norah Ewing set school records in the 100 (12.60) and 200 (25.81) meters and also won the 300-meter hurdles (50.77).
Allison McKitrick set a school record in the 100-meter hurdles (15.37), and Ellyse Walden set meet records in the shot put (41-5.5) and discus (131-4.5).

  • Western – 125

  • Northwestern – 58

  • Eastern – 50

  • Taylor – 7
